Decision support for directors and CEOs

Search for "AI for executives" and most of what you'll find is courses, or assistants that manage your calendar and inbox. Both have their place. Neither prepares the decision you'll have to stand behind. That is a different job, and it is the one ExecMind does.

ExecMind keeps matters on your file, not in the browser, as conversations and Inquiry files you can pin, rename and delete.

Ask, Review, Deep

  • Ask is a single pass, answer first, for a question that needs a straight answer.
  • Review ranks and recommends. The evidence ledger and an adversary come on, so the counterargument is on the page.
  • Deep is for the board pack or the irreversible call.

The instruments

  • Evidence ledger: known, unknown, assumed and derived, classified on the file and not mixed into the prose.
  • Quant: ARR, reprice, margin, cash and runway. Variables named, gaps named.
  • Pack: the board paper, covering conclusion, constraints, options, recommendation and counterargument.
  • Exhibits: images seen, PDFs, Word and text files read, audio transcribed.
  • Talk and dictate: live voice, or dictated words you edit before sending.

Typical uses

Two paths, one recommendation. Acquisition, hire or restructure: convert to Review so the ledger and the counterargument are on the page before you walk in.

A memo the room can use. Ask for a single, answer-first pass. No eight-part theatre.

A board pack from a messy thread. The conversation holds the working. Convert to Deep, then Pack writes the paper.

For directors specifically

Directors are often handed papers rather than writing them. You can put management's paper on the file and ask what it rests on: which claims are evidenced, which are assumptions, and what's missing. Use the seven-question check before the meeting.

Before your next board meeting

Put the board paper you've been sent on the file. Ask three things: what it rests on, what it assumes, and what's missing. Then convert to Review and ask for the strongest counterargument to management's recommendation. You'll walk in with better questions than the paper anticipated.
